German heavy metal band Accept selected Sikkim-born vocalist Girish Pradhan for their 50th-anniversary double album, Teutonic Titans 1976-2026. The record releases on September 4. Pradhan will sing the 1981 track “Breaker,” making him the only Indian artist featured on this project. The 19-track release brings together over 50 global rock and metal musicians. Pradhan shares the tracklist with Rob Halford of Judas Priest, Kirk Hammett of Metallica, and Tobias Forge of Ghost.

Networking Across Continents

The opportunity arrived through direct professional networking. American guitarist Joel Hoekstra introduced Pradhan to the project. Hoekstra collaborated with Pradhan on previous solo albums under Frontiers Records and recently toured with Accept. Their existing working relationship secured Pradhan a place alongside established metal veterans.

Pradhan recorded his vocals remotely. He worked alongside former Megadeth members Glen Drover and Shawn Drover, plus bassist Chuck Garric. Taking on a speed metal standard required balancing technical accuracy with his individual vocal style. Remote recording setups demand high engineering standards, and Pradhan’s ability to deliver studio-ready tracks from his base in Bengaluru facilitated his inclusion.

Global Positioning for Indian Rock

Girish and the Chronicles have steadily built an international touring footprint over the last decade. They previously secured slots supporting Guns N’ Roses and signed multi-album international record deals. Participating in a legacy tribute album solidifies that global presence. It moves the band’s visibility beyond their immediate touring demographic and places them directly in front of traditional heavy metal audiences.

For musical artists, Pradhan’s trajectory demonstrates the literal value of session work and cross-border collaborations. You build your reputation through consistent studio output and reliable touring relationships. When you maintain professional ties with international musicians, you position yourself for high-profile placements that exist outside your immediate local circuit. The music business relies heavily on personal referrals from working professionals.

A feature on a major international release shifts an independent musician from a regional act to a recognized participant in their specific genre. The actual progression happens through standard networking and delivering high-quality audio when the call comes.
