Prateeksha Srivastava recently secured a recording contract with Warner Music India. The singer-songwriter marked the agreement by releasing her new single, “Sajna Ve,”. This move positions her directly within the major label pop market.
A Female-Led Narrative
Srivastava wrote, composed, and performed the new track. “Sajna Ve” focuses on young romance but flips the standard pop music dynamic. The lyrics and the accompanying music video, featuring actor Arjun Deswal, show the young woman initiating the pursuit through the streets of Old Delhi. Srivastava stated she wants to represent a confident female perspective in her releases. She intends to blend Indian musical traditions with global pop structures under the Warner Music banner.
Building the Foundation First
Before signing with an international label, Srivastava established her value independently. She built her initial audience through online performance videos. She then transitioned into original songwriting and composing for other artists. She co-composed the hit track “Aankh” for Sunidhi Chauhan and performed on Coke Studio Bharat. She also released an independent EP, Tiny Truths, in 2025 and booked her own national tour. Warner Music India signed her because she already possessed a functioning career and a proven audience.
